  • Fresh sea water fish -1 kg  ( red snapper or maya maya, dilis or anchovy, Tanigue or blue marlin,Tuna)
  • 5 Pcs of onion medim size, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of peeled ginges, cut into stips and chop
  • 15 pcs Calamansi, juiced
  • 5 pcs siling labuyo / red hot chillie slice into pcs
  • 1 cup of vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup of Coconut milk (optional)
How to Prepare:

  • Clean fish thoroughly, remove gills, guts and scale, rinse with water and drain on a strainer.
  • Put on a bowl and pour vinegar to dip and let it stay for 15- 20 minute, drain.
  • Add all of the ingredient, salt to taste.
  • Add coconut milk (optional)
  • Refrigerate fish kilawin for 1-2 hour and served.
